"If we have bodhichitta, negative states of mind such as attachment, anger and jealousy have no power over us " Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Uninvited delusions such as anger, desirous attachment and ignorance plague day to day life and steal our peace of mind. These inner enemies as well as all negativity and harm in our world arises from the view that ‘self’ is more important than ‘others’. Realizing this, the meditator develops a selfless intention to benefit living beings through striving for complete enlightenment. In this way they accomplish a mind known as 'bodhichitta'. They become a Bodhisattva, a being bound for enlightenment.
